Kaviya Maran is the CEO of the IPL team Sunrisers Hyderabad and is also the daughter of the owner, Kalanithi Maran who is associated with SUN music and FM channels of SUN TV.

Kaviya was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 6th August, 1992.

Her father, Kalanithi Maran began his business with a video news magazine two years before her birth and eventually became one of the highest paid CEOs in India eventually.

He then started the SUN Networks, with which he is still associated.

Murasoli Maran was a former Union Minister belonging to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam party (DMK).

Kaviya did her graduation in Chennai from Stella Maris College and later completed her MBA from Leonard N Stern School of Business, New York University.

Kaviya Kaviya first grabbed attention in the IPL

Series of 2018 when she was spotted supporting her team in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Kaviya is also seen as a regular in the IPL auctions for her franchise and she can also be spotted at all the venues wherever her team plays.

In IPL 2021, she took the media and internet by storm when she was disappointed multiple times as her team started losing wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore and the camera kept focussing on her disappointed face.
